Just want this bike to be done and ready in time for rice o rama. Today it took me many hours just to finish up this seat and glue it on. These allergies are really bad and I hate how it just came over night. Not the best looking seat but it will do for now.

Spent all weekend trying to figure out why I couldnt sync my carbs……First off I was doing the 1.1mm wire trick to sync them, This whole time I forgot to re-install my idle adjust screw and set its clearance before I did the carb sync. So upset with myself.

ANYWHO raised my needle jet, synced carbs, cleaned out and organized my shed. Not bad for a weekend. This week permit and legalizing the bike and yeah open road after that.

Repetition is KEY.

Well adjusted my carb needle jets again to compensate for the massive amounts of air with the pod filters now installed. AND of course cant get away without re-syncing them………..Fluff my life.. It will all be worth it at the end.

This is all becoming second nature to me.

But of course small issues, oil leak since i need a new gasket, i believe one carb is sucking in too much air than gas. when my brother drove off with it he said it didnt want to go fast when he opened throttle. also u hear a liek hiss/chh sound when it idles from one of the carbs. couple odd and ends but hey at least it turns on first kick now after its been driven and warmed up

Shims are in now, all valve clearances are .10mm instead of .05mm. Cleaned and installed my carbs along with pod filters again. swapped out bars for flat trackers, flipped them and made them look kinda like clubmans, now the bike has a more aggressive lean adjusted my clutch since it was loose, i did it so many times that i can now do it without looking. so im thinking maybe tomorrow if it dont rain i may be able to get it started……OH and i think i may have figured out why my electrical went from working to blowing main fuses….inside the throttle assembly/housing one of the wires frayed showing copper so i think since that is above the switch for headlight i think thats why i kept blowing the main fuse every time i threw on the headlights.

Hey Long Time No See!

July 9, 2011

Hey everyone It’s been some time eh? Well this year has been super lazy for me(of course my own fault), but i recently got back to doing what I have to do.

Finally finished the yellow single speed project.

I’ve also got back to the ol’ KZ650. I had been given some advice to check the valve clearance, Checked them all and both exhaust and intake gave me 0.05mm. Luckily a local KZ’er has shims so I will be doing that today and letting him know what I need and hopefully he has it.

Well heres to another year…Hope it goes smooth
